Uniform

By selecting to attend Eagle Academy for the Young Men of Harlem Middle/ High School you have chosen to represent ourselves professionally, with a polished and formal uniform. Our uniform reflects our pride and our respect for our school. While specific guidelines are provided below it is important for students to develop an understanding of and adherence to the spirit and standards of professional dress. Locations where uniforms are available:

All Students

Shirts

● Solid baby blue oxford button-down shirt with a sleeve, straight-cut or tucked-in, with an official Grade Specific Eagle Academy necktie

● Solid Navy Blue Polo (Fridays only)

Pants

● Solid Gray Pants, solid khaki pants (Friday’s only)

● Pants with belt-loops must be worn with a black or brown colored belt

Shoes

● Any closed toe and school appropriate shoe (no slides, flip flops, sandals, Crocs, Yeezy Foam Runners, Ugg slippers, or shoes with an open back.)

Shoes (rubber soled) or all black sneakers -No additional colors

Students are encouraged to wear their official Eagle Academy blazer (members of the senior class) on designated days and may be required to wear it for particular events. Students may also wear the following:

●No Hoodies worn in the building throughout the school day (unless explicitly specified by the directors of scholar life)

Jackets and Sweaters

● Outerwear: V-Neck Sweater, Cardigan Sweater, the V-Neck Pullover Sweater Vest and the Polar Fleece Zip Front Jacket

● Navy Blue, V-neck sweater or crewneck sweatshirt. All other outerwear, including but not limited to jackets, vests, sweatshirts, hoodies and shooting shirts, are NOT permitted, and should be removed upon entering the building. Official Eagle outerwear is permitted if shirt collar and tie are visible.

TIES

All students should be wearing their grade specific ties Monday - Thursday unless otherwise specified.

Replacement ties are at the expense of the student/family

Uniform Schedule

● Monday - Thursday ○ All students are required to wear their button up shirt and tie with gray slacks and grade specific tie.

● Friday - Polo Day ○ Students are permitted to wear their Navy-blue polo or button up shirt and tie with khaki bottoms

All accessories should be consistent with the formal and professional spirit of the uniform policy. Head coverings are only allowed for religious reasons inside of the school building. (Bandanas, scarves, bonnets, hats, etc. are not permitted)
